Meet Your Practitioner, Yasamine Farshad

Throughout my life, I have dealt with various health challenges ranging from digestive issues, depression, and anxiety, to ADHD, PCOS, and eczema just to name a few. The problem was that I never addressed the root cause of issue. I just kept taking medications to ease the symptoms.
Then I hit a point in my life where I no longer had health insurance. I was terrified. What would I do if I got sick, needed medical attention, or had an emergency? I realized I had to take responsibility for my health because I couldn’t afford to get sick, literally.

I started researching natural ways to address my conditions, changed my diet, lifestyle, mindset, and incorporated nutritional supplements to my daily regimen. Slowly but surely, I started noticing positive changes. I was blessed to get a job working at a holistic wellness clinic named ADIO Life Center in Tucson, Arizona, where I met my two greatest mentors who helped me start my path as a holistic practitioner. Witnessing people achieve health by making simple changes in their life inspired me to go to naturopathic medical school. I wanted to help people gain their life back naturally.

From there, I received a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona. Shortly after, I graduated as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the accredited institution, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona (now called Sonoran University of Health Sciences).

During my clinical rotation I focused on community health and had the privilege of serving many individuals in battered women shelters, underprivileged elementary schools, addiction, HIV clinics and more. Serving the community is something that I greatly enjoy. I also traveled with the Global Medical Brigades while at the University of Arizona to provide medical help to remote villages in Honduras.

While in school I discovered my passion for herbs and decided to specialize in botanical medicine. This led me to attend Herbal Wisdom Institute where I received my clinical herbalist certification and would later teach anatomy, physiology, and other medical topics.

After graduating medical school, I served as the Practitioner Education Manager for Wise Woman Herbals where I coordinated educational events and content for health care practitioners, assisted in product development and private white label consulting. More recently, I have become a certified bioenergetic practitioner and a registered Holistic Healthcare Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

Whether you want to incorporate better nutrition or herbs into your daily regimen, would like coaching while working towards a wellness goal or benefit from biofeedback technology, I would love to help you along the way!

In Health,

Yasamine Farshad ND, CH
